A Philadelphia paper asked if we should blame gun laws for the CO massacre... a resounding YES gun laws are to blame. If more of those people were able to carry firearms they could have taken him out in the first few seconds and maybe saved some lives... There were 6 trained Airmen, if they were armed we may have had a different outcome all together. Instead, we are trained sheep, if a big bad wolf comes at us, panic and run away, making ourselves easier targets.
Of course the PA paper was advocating for tougher laws, but they had the right question... just from the wrong perspective.

According to Senator Shumer: "The truth is, if we decouple the tax cuts for those earning above $250,000, that means they will be gone for good,” Schumer said in a statement. “Over 10 years, that will reduce the deficit by $800 billion compared to what Republicans want to do.”
What a stretch and shading of the truth. This will reduce the deficit by $80billion per year compared to an annual deficit of $1.3 TRILLION. So over 10 years the deficit is $13 TRILLION and he's saying a reduction of $800 BILLION will matter... REALLY?

Six cents on the dollar is going to make any difference at all???
This is even discounting the truth that the more you tax something, the less of it you get. History has proven that the only sure way to increase revenue is to reduce the rates...

No wonder this country is beyond broke!

Should 17 year olds be allowed to vote? Are you kidding me??? I don't think anyone still living with Mommy or Daddy should be allowed to vote.... Voting is for adults, if you want to still be dependent on Mommy or Daddy, you are NOT an adult.
so now 3 California cities have declared bankruptcy... more to come I'm sure.

California is now poised to be the first Sanctuary State for illegal immigration. Gee, I wonder if the Obama Administration will sue us for setting our own immigration policy?
The economy created just 80,000 jobs in June, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. But that same month, 85,000 workers left the workforce entirely to enroll in the Social Security Disability Insurance program, according to the Social Security Administration.
