Why are the Republicans so bad at messaging???
Clinton tax rates = Clinton spending level ... easy and clear
Millionaires and billionaires ok = $250k / small business is not ok
The trillion in cuts were already counted in the baseline, no new cuts offered
If taxes go into effect today, so do the spending cuts
Jeez Louise ... clear, concise, easy to understand...
instead the go on and on and on about things people don't understand.

So cook it!
Good grief is this another scare story so that we plead for "big daddy government" to save us????
An analysis in the January 2013 issue of Consumer Reports magazine revealed 69% of pork chops and ground pork that the organization sampled from around the U.S. tested positive for Yersinia enterocolitica, a bacteria that, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), can result in fever, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
Consumer Reports also found 3-7% of the samples harbored salmonella, staphylococcus aureus or listeria monocytogenes, other common pathogens for foodborne illness. Twenty-three percent of the samples contained none of the tested bacteria.

Whew, now that I made it past the election and the disappointment in my fellow American's who seem to buy in whole the democrat party's garbage about Romney and Republicans I am ready to start raising my blood pressure by reading the latest political information and vent in my own little dot way....

So Pres. Obama is in favor of exempting Olympic winnings from taxes, with no limits... Does this mean if Mrs. Romney's horse had medal'd, he would be fine with THAT tax loophole? Do the millionairs on the basketball team need the tax loophole? REALLY??
So sports are ok and shouldn't have to pay taxes, but small businesses are just vile and need to be taxed up the wazoo ... interesting.

A Philadelphia paper asked if we should blame gun laws for the CO massacre... a resounding YES gun laws are to blame. If more of those people were able to carry firearms they could have taken him out in the first few seconds and maybe saved some lives... There were 6 trained Airmen, if they were armed we may have had a different outcome all together. Instead, we are trained sheep, if a big bad wolf comes at us, panic and run away, making ourselves easier targets.
Of course the PA paper was advocating for tougher laws, but they had the right question... just from the wrong perspective.

According to Senator Shumer: "The truth is, if we decouple the tax cuts for those earning above $250,000, that means they will be gone for good,” Schumer said in a statement. “Over 10 years, that will reduce the deficit by $800 billion compared to what Republicans want to do.”
What a stretch and shading of the truth. This will reduce the deficit by $80billion per year compared to an annual deficit of $1.3 TRILLION. So over 10 years the deficit is $13 TRILLION and he's saying a reduction of $800 BILLION will matter... REALLY?
Six cents on the dollar is going to make any difference at all???
This is even discounting the truth that the more you tax something, the less of it you get. History has proven that the only sure way to increase revenue is to reduce the rates...
No wonder this country is beyond broke!

So the Supremes have said Arizona can question immigration status but can't do anything about it; the only penalties are on employers (those were the parts that weren't challenged); Arizona can call ICE and see if this illegal is on their "list" as a criminal illegal. If not, Arizona can't do anything about it and basically has to let the illegal go unless the crime warrants arrest, if not (say a traffic violation) they get a ticket and are sent on their way.
Now that illegal tries to get a job and can't get one, but they can apply for welfare and get that; the Democrats are happy, the illegals are happy, but once again Taxpayers get the shaft. Crazy world we live in.

Why when anyone is speaking about the public sector do they only refer to "teachers, firefighters and police", they never mention the schlub at the DMV, the clerks at the courhouse, the annoying people who drive through your neighborhood and give you a ticket when your tires are too far up the curb, etc... oh yeah, cause EVERYONE would be ok with those folks getting laid off, pay reduced, etc.

Tuesday June 5th was a GOOD DAY here in the blue state of CA... San Jose and San Diego (both VERY liberal towns) voted to limit and roll back the pension benefits of public worker union members... and the entire state voted down a sin tax of adding another dollar to cigarettes. Maybe San Jose and San Diego will start a trend ................. rd

the O.C. is still to the right of center, a small circle of red in crazy blue... fab article in the Register http://www.ocregister.com/opinion/california-356374-state-billion.html
sums it up very well, the state government can't fix what they don't even see. How can the governor's office not recognize that productive citizens and businesses are leaving the state?

Congratulations to the Catholic Bishops... good luck with the law suit!
FINALLY the Catholic Church is standing up for its freedoms.... Where was their outrage when they had to get out of the adoption game because of being forced to allow gays to adopt? where was their outrage when they are forced to fund abortions in the Health Care law? ... at least they finally found their spines thanks to the straw that broke the camel's back.

I think I want to change to government accounting; in the next 10 years I want to update my kitchen for $75,000; add a 2nd story master suite to my home $225,000; redo all the concrete around my home $80,000; redo all flooring $15,000 = total $395,000; President Obama projects that this will all end up costing 4.5% more --- $412,775; Paul Ryan want to cut that to $406,850 -- O MY GOSH SUCH DRASTIC, DRACONIAN, EVIL CUTS.... but wait, I'm still spending $406,850 bucks I don't have!!!! why don't I just not add the master suite... look I just cut my budget in half and saved over $225,000 bucks... of course I STILL DON'T HAVE THE $170,000 EITHER! ARGH this makes me crazy.

Irony at its most poignant... Former President Clinton, who had Osama bin Laden in his grasp and let him go after the 1st attack on the twin towers is saying what a "man" President Obama is for ordering the killing one year ago... Mr. President, if you had done YOUR JOB 16 years ago, the killing NEVER would have been needed, the twin towers would still stand and almost 3,000 people would still be alive.

Has the recent census information and polling on women started to make a change in CBS News? Most of the people who watch morning news programs are women (stay at home women); most stay at home women are of a conservative nature; ABC and NBC morning "news" shows were fluff on Pippa and 90210 actress divorces, etc. CBS had an indepth piece on Romney and an interview with Boehner... hmmmm.... tired of dragging ratings? trying the Fox model? or just a flash in the pan? It would be nice if News meant News and not gossip...

Gotta love how Charles Krauthammer words things...
The Buffett Rule redistributes deck chairs on the Titanic, ostensibly to make more available for those in steerage. Nice idea, but the iceberg cometh. The enterprise is an exercise in misdirection — a distraction not just from Obama’s dismal record on growth and unemployment but, more important, from his dereliction of duty in failing to this day to address the utterly predictable and devastating debt crisis ahead.

Hilary Rosen apologizes to Ann Romney. Her response, in full:
This is the WORST non apology, apology I've seen in a long time...
Let’s put the faux ‘war against stay at home moms’ to rest once and for all. As a mom I know that raising children is the hardest job there is. As a pundit, I know my words on CNN last night were poorly chosen. In response to Mitt Romney on the campaign trail referring to his wife as a better person to answer questions about women than he is, I was discussing his poor record on the plight of women’s financial struggles.
As a partner in a firm full of women who work outside of the home as well as stay at home mothers, all with plenty of children, gender equality is not a talking point for me. It is an issue I live every day. I apologize to Ann Romney and anyone else who was offended. Let’s declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance

I heard again today how important the HHS mandate is that all health care insurance provide reproductive services FOR FREE to all women. I agree, if you are of child bearing age, you need to buy a plan that includes birth control, or you need to get birth contol elsewhere... but I don't get this FOR FREE stuff..
Also, they were stressing how important it is that PLANS FOR COLLEGE WOMEN (so 18 - 30 years old) MUST INCLUDE STERILIZATION... since when have we encouraged women so young to sterilize themselves?
When I was in college, no doctor would even think of sterilizing a young, healthy woman without a serious reason... has anyone heard of eugenics????

Would I be less angry about $4.50 gas if ALL of it were drilled, refined and sold within our own borders.... I think I would be a LOT less angry. At least then we get the lease and royalty fees and BILLIONS of our dollars would not be shipped out of the country to support Saudi Arabia, Iran, Venezuala, Cuba, etc. etc. why don't folks ask THAT question....

Why do people keep confusing "Health Care" with "Health Insurance"... the argument that eveyone will need health care at some point is absolutly correct, but NOT everyone will need HEALTH INSURANCE!. After all Trump, Soros, Romney, the Kock brothers, Bill Gates, President Obama and many many others can all afford to pay out of pocket for their HEALTH CARE even if they don't have HEALTH INSURANCE

So yesterday Missouri had ANOTHER ROUND of voting that doesn't grant even one delegate! How many millions of dollars do states waste this way?
Today Puerto Rico votes... I never realized that our "territories" had so many delegates! More than some states... how come the news media never tells us about them?
I guess for the same reason MSNBC had "Toothless Tuesday".. if you aren't in a Metropolitan area you just don't count. RD

So the Bedroom Conservative, Santorum, is now trying to kill off any support the Hispanic community may still have for the Republicans. Telling Puerto Rico that they must forsake their native language and make English the official language and require a supermajority for statehood.
How about respecting a culture Mr. Santorum...I really hope this man isn't our candidate. RD

So Gingrich and Santorum are going to take it all the way to Tampa... Really? Even if all of Gingrich's delegates and all of Santorum's delegates are put together, they still are behind Romney. The Evangelical Republicans (Bedroom Conservatives) are going to snatch defeat for the Republicans out of the jaws of victory; I'm getting a headache!... RD

What kind of weird world do we live in? Romney (a rich guy) opts out of Medicare - why should he have health care on my dime? Sounds like a GREAT thing to me... but to the Dems he's evil for doing this... they would prefer to be the only provider of health care (after all isn't that what Obamacare is aiming for - drive every other health provider out of business)...
Monday, March 12, 2012
Conservatives in California must be different than in other states... I don't see anything wrong with a 65 year old man having two vehicles and his wife having another two.... especially if he can afford them. After all the guy down the street has 3 cars and a boat all because he pulled the equity out of his house, and now want's me to pay for it. The south is "an away" game for me too... I finally learned the plural of ya'all is all ya'all and have never tried grits with or without cheese.
I think the news media is all about stirring up the bee hive and not presenting facts...

I hate this "but Romney isn't a TRUE conservative"... why? I don't understand what some of these folks think is a "true" conservative. Seems some of them think if you are not evangelical, or "born again" or want to peek into everyones bedroom, you aren't conservative... well I'm conservative, but I'm not evangelical, not "born again", not a church goer, and I don't care what you do in your private life as long as you don't hurt anyone... RD
It can be so lonely for a red dot in the middle of deep blue. Listening today to the news all excited because 227k new jobs created... That's only 1.6% of the 14 million unemployed... now don't get me wrong, I'm glad for that 227 thousand, but can we really afford another 62 months of this hiring rate?
Vote Romney and let's try something new! RD
